Sunday Night at Titanyen, Haiti - Mission of Hope

It is Sunday night and we have been on a journey, both physical and spiritual.  Today we explored the compound of Mission of Hope, touring all the facilities and seeing the various programs they have that serve the people of Haiti.

Here is our team picture from the Kennedy airport as we prepared to leave for Haiti.

So many reasons not to return this year...but I'm so glad to be back in Haiti.  Amazing worship (for 2 quick hours!) with the minister including a little English with the Creole sermon.  Best of all has been reuniting with friends from the villages where we worked last year, with our translator friends, and with all of the children.  Dede, a young man Paul and I sponsored in the Fall to return to high school, found our group this afternoon as we walked through Leveque. Last year he endeared himself to me while persistently trying to sell me bracelets throughout the week.  Today he was all smiles, couldn't stop hugging and saying he can't believe we came back.  He was so grateful for the school help, and "escorted" me through the village.  He promises to be back in the morning...with his brother:)

More pictures from our first day at Mission of Hope folks. It is all about building relationships and we begin with the kids.

And, our team picture at Bercy, another Mission of Hope location, right on the water.

More to follow folks. Good night from the Hopewell Haiti team and thank you for your continued prayers.
